  2008 CYC Junior Regatta

The Charlottetown Yacht CLub will be hosting the Third Annual CYC Junior Regatta August 16th. This regatta is intended to complement our junior programs and therefore we are encouraging beginner, intermediate and advanced sailors to attend. This event is open to all sailors, and we would like to have as many sailors from other clubs and provinces as possible.

• Classes will be based on pre-registered entries. Minimum one design fleet is three boats (Opti, Byte, 420, Laser, Laser Radial, 29er). Other boats may choose to race with other fleets but may not be scored.

Fees: $35 per sailor. (T-shirt included if pre-registered before August 8th, $10 on site)
Meals: Lunch will be provided on the water. A BBQ will follow the last race each day, while results are being tabulated. Additional meals may be purchased for $5 based on availability.
Prizes: Prizes for top competitors, novices (Green), and outstanding sportsmanship. There will be a takeaway item for each participant who attends.
Facilities: CYC has a launching ramp and will provide a staging area for boats. Trailer parking will be limited. Please advise your needs ahead of time.
Location: CYC (Charlottetown Yacht Club) will be the host for the event. The organizing committee will be available in the CYC Commodores Room. Races will be held in the Charlottetown inner harbour. Conditions permitting, at least one course will be set off Victoria Park, to facilitate viewing by the public.
