The Charlottetown Yacht Club Adult Learn to Sail program is a course offered by the CYC to introduce aspiring sailors to the terms, customs, and conventions of sailing. This web site is a supplement to those courses, providing a modular version of some core sailing concepts. This resource is open to both those persons interested in enrolling in the CYC programs, as well as anyone who has an interest in sailing. Each module contains a brief multimedia description of a sailing concept, followed by an interactive quiz (if applicable).

This web site makes extensive use of the Flash plug-in from Macromedia to illustrate concepts with animated sequences. All pages are best viewed with Netscape Navigator 4 or above, or Internet Explorer 4 or above. A companion CD-ROM exists for this web site as well (which includes a more media-enriched coverage of topics), and can be made available to you by contacting the Charlottetown Yacht Club.
