BOATS ARRIVING AT PEI PORTS FROM OUTSIDE THE PROVINCE DURING THE PANDEMIC
On July 2, 2020 the PEI Chief Public Health Office issued this notice:
"PEI remains under a Public Health State of Emergency as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Public health measures are in place across PEI as outlined in the travel restrictions order. The following are the requirements for travellers who arrive at small craft harbours and marinas, private airports, and the Ports of Charlottetown and Summerside.
Non-PEI residents arriving directly to PEI ports from the Atlantic Provinces:
In accordance with the COVID-19 Prevention and Self-Isolation Order, all persons entering PEI from outside the Atlantic Provinces are required to declare if they have any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 and to self-isolate for 14 days after their arrival. Travellers who arrive from International destinations will be contacted by Health PEI for a COVID-19 test 10 to 12 days after their arrival in PEI."

- After the form is submitted, the traveler will receive an email confirmation with a Submission ID number which the traveler must forward to the provided email address.
- Require a Pre-Travel Approval Letter from PEI Public Safety before arrival. Note that it may take up to 72 hours for applications to be processed.
- No pre-travel approval or PEI Self - Declaration required.
- Proof of PEI residency is required.
- Must notify the PEI Chief Public Health Office of their planned arrival at least 48 hours in advance by calling (902) 368-4996 or by email. A public health official will conduct a health screening assessment at the time of arrival.

Shore Facilities
The Charlottetown Yacht Club has a full service marina for the use of club members and visitors and is located in the heart of the Charlottetown waterfront. Charlottetown, as capital of the province, offers the facilities and services of a much larger community and is a gateway to the province for nautical visitors. In recent years the Charlottetown Yacht Club has significantly increased and improved the services for visiting boats.
Fuel, Water, Electricity, Internet
Both permanent and transient docks have accessible water and electric power. A new feature for 2005 is the availability of wireless internet connectivity as well as cable T.V. Gasoline and diesel fuel is available at the club gas dock and arrangements can be made for large vessels to fuel directly from tank trucks as well. For vessels on moorings a limited tender service to and from the club docks may be requested. Mastercard and Visa accepted.
Washrooms, Lockers, Showers, Laundry, Telephone, Cranes
The club building offers washrooms, lockers, showers, laundry facilities and telephone as well as offices. A 5 tonne electric hoist is available for haul-outs. Arrangements can be made for heavier vessels have access to commercial cranes at the club location. A masting crane is also available. The Club has a slipway for trailer-launched boats.
Parking
Club members and visitors have access to parking facilities at the Club.
Winter Storage
Winter storage can be arranged on the Club property for visiting boats.
Chandlery and Repairs
Several regional and national firms have branches in Charlottetown including Marine Source http://www.marine-source.ca, IMP Marine http://www.impmarine.com/impmarine/ and Mermaid Marine http://www.mermaidmarine.com/. Quartermaster Marine http://www.quartermastermarine.com/ provides a number of services including outboard sales and servicing. Other equipment and services such as sail repairs may be available through club members.
Groceries
A number of convenience stores are within four blocks of the club but larger grocery orders may require a short taxi ride to a supermarket (Sobeys, Superstore). On Prince Edward Island all sale of alcohol is through Liquor Control Commission stores. The nearest store to the Yacht Club is located on Queen Street, about 4 blocks from the Club.
Charts and Guides
Charts of Prince Edward Island waters and Northumberland Strait are available at The Bookmark in the Confederation Court Mall about 6 blocks from the Yacht Club.

The Club’s premiere competitive and social event is Charlottetown Race Week, held annually in mid-July.
Club members are also avid participants in races of the Northumberland Strait Yachting Association http://www.nstya.com/ which take place throughout the season.
